Intern Equity Program

As people upgrade we are often approached with donated bikes. Every month we service and/or repair an number of these pro-bono.  We find them homes with those that might not have the opportunity to access a bike due their circumstances.

Not only does is it the right thing to do-its better for our community and environment. 

About the Doctor...

Bondi Bike Doctor is headed up by Chief Surgeon- Laurie Bassett.

Laurie has 30 years experience of servicing, repairing and building bikes both in the UK and Australia. Laurie has experience of the needs of mountains bikes, racing bikes, touring and commuters to ensure you get the most of out of your bike. Laurie has raced mountain bikes for decades and worked in the bike industry in the UK both in manufacturing and retail outlets.

Laurie returns to the industry full time after leading NGO mental health recovery and homelessness services in Sydney for the last 14 years.

Laurie's passion with Bondi Bike Doctor is supporting others to experience the positive benefits of riding in Sydney in the most convenient way possible.

Laurie prides himself on being approachable, independant and providing the best customer experience and support possible to beginners and discerning enthusiasts alike.
